Abia State Police have apprehended a Chinese manager and expatriate, Mr. GZ Zhen, at Inner Galaxy Steel in Umuahala Asa, Ukwa West council area, following the alleged murder of a female crane operator named Ocheze Ogbonna.

The incident sparked unrest in the area, with local youths protesting the tragic death of the crane operator, who was also a member of the host community. Abia State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed Zhen’s detention and stated that investigations into the matter are underway.
