Today, I celebrate a rare milestone in the life of a distinguished son of Osun State and Nigeria at large, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former Governor of Osun State, as he graciously clocks 75 years.
At 75, Prince Oyinlola stands tall as a symbol of courage, service, and enduring leadership. His life journey reflects decades of commitment to nation-building, beginning from his meritorious military career to his impactful years in public service and governance. As Governor of Osun State, his administration was marked by deliberate efforts at infrastructural development, human capital growth, and the strengthening of state institutions, legacies that remain part of Osun’s political and developmental history.
Prince Oyinlola’s leadership style combined discipline, humility, and an uncommon understanding of the grassroots. Beyond policies and projects, he invested in people, nurtured talents, and mentored many who today contribute meaningfully to governance and public discourse. His voice, experience, and counsel have continued to enrich political conversations long after leaving office.
As he marks this diamond age, it is fitting to acknowledge a life spent in service, sacrifice, and steadfast devotion to the ideals of unity, peace, and progress. Seventy-five years is not just a celebration of age, but a celebration of impact, lessons learned, and paths paved for generations after.
On behalf of myself and in my capacity as Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Communication, I join family, friends, associates, and the good people of Osun State to congratulate Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola on this remarkable birthday. May the years ahead be filled with sound health, inner peace, and the joy that comes from a life well lived.
Happy 75th Birthday, Your Excellency.
Your legacy endures.
